mission statement
Why did I decide to devote my life to mastering this craft?
Because circus is inspiring,
And I want to inspire.
Performance is inspiring,
I love to perform.
Seeing people use their bodies to do the impossible,
I wanted to see how far I could push my own body.
When I started I was bound,
My body and mind were tight and immobile.
I could not touch my knees,
Tying my shoes was a challenge that left my back in spasm.
Years of running and kicking a ball had set me back,
I avoided free movement and expression at all costs.
I assumed I was missing something necessary,
Something from birth that I did not have.
Put simply I was afraid,
But in the circus, there are no prerequisites.
I needed to prove to myself that I can create amazing things,
No matter what cards I was dealt at the beginning.
Creativity needs to be fed and nurtured,
And I am so glad that I came to my senses.
The people I have found on this journey are everything to me,
Artistic collaboration is magical.
Do what you love,
Love what you do.
Circus is something I can see myself loving for the rest of my life,
It can do so much good in this world.
It can make change,
And it can be an escape.
It can deeply inspire people in more ways than one.
And where do people turn when life gets hard?
It is simple.
They look to the stars,
And they find the arts.
Created to inspire,
And that is why we are here.
